Gaucho pants question

I was wondering what kind of shoes would be most flattering with gaucho
pants? The long length pants, not the cropped version. I was thinking of
maybe a ballet flat for everyday wear? I live where it's fairly cold but

I keep thinking "Keds" but then I want to avert my eyes from the
scene.

I love, love, love these pants!! I bought a pair from the Victoria's
Secret catalog and they are made by Zinc. In the catalog they are shown
w/ a strappy high heel and that'd be great for a dressy summer event but
wouldn't work well for winter.

I saw those too and want them.. so I definitely have questions
1) if you are wearing or buying the palazzo pants.. (cropped ones are
called gauchos)
any sort of shoe would work from boots, sandels, flats,pumps...

I want the cropped version.. to wear with boots and strappy sandals..

I tend to think of gauchos as shorter...these may be more (as Stevie
says) palazzo pants, which can be worn with pretty much anything.

But this season I love knee high boots, flat or heeled, with a wide
leg. The look great with a wide belt, slung kind of loose, too, IMO.
