August hits/misses

Hits:
Smashbox cream eyeliner in midnight purple (really like this, will
probably buy more)
Lancome eyeshadow duo (an ivory and a green shade). Lancome
shadows stay on me well.

Have you used Bobbi Brown or Stila gel eyeliners, and can you tell me
how compare the Smashbox cream compares to either of them? I really
like the staying power of the gel eye liners, but find them difficult
and time-consuming to apply. My line always ends up looking kind of
blobby, and I'd love to find something creamier with similar staying
power.

I used BB and Senna gel liners, and loved them...until they dried out. I
never had much luck with pencils--they were always too hard, but I started
to use a Benefit liner pencil--the one with a smudging sponge on one
end--and it is amazing. I've never used up a pencil before; I just threw
them out. For extra staying power, I apply two layers.

Thanks for the advice, ladies. I'll be able to check out the Smashbox
and Benefit liners in person (!) on an upcoming trip.

I also had a BB gel liner that I threw out because it dried up with
only a small portion of the product being used. So I took a chance
with this Smashbox product hoping that it does not dry out.

Miss: Olay Body wash in Ocean Ribbons: thick and doesn't spread as
well as the BBW shower gels. I much prefer BBW bath products and there
are so many scents.
Finally threw out the Almay eye makeup remover in a gel form. I
tried it again and I disliked it so much I tossed it. Will stick with
the Almay pads in the plastic container.
