I just bought a white spring jacket at Kohl's yesterday. It's not stark
white, but not ivory. Slightly off-white I guess. Can I wear this now?
It is officially spring. What's this rule about Memorial and Labor Day.
Is that just for white shoes? I am just so sick of my black wool

Ruddell...
Not sure how serious to take this (read: probably not very) but it's the most
interesting what my search found...

peacoat. And sick of winter, for that matter. The jacket is kind of a
quilted material. I can't decide if it is semi-Chanel or housecoat.
Kohl's is really a PIA about returns so I haven't decided if I'm stuck
with it b/c I like it or I am too afraid to return it. : ) I also bought

It probably depends on the garment. I have three white sweaters and two
blouses I wear in winter but I would never think of wearing white shoes
in winter other than tennis shoes.

a multi-colored Rosetti handbag that just feels spring/summer. Maybe
Jenn or others that shop at Kohls have seen the jacket? It also came in
black.

The official rule according to Stacy and Clinton and the fashion
magazines is that there is no longer any rule about when you can
wear white.

In the South, the rule is: after Easter.

For those of us from Kentucky, the rule is: after the Kentucky Derby.

It used to be that you wore white only between Memorial and Labor Day
but now you can wear white year round especially with all of the winter
white. I agree with Nicky. Where I live it is so hot in the summer so
jackets are mostly for spring .
