Smokey...
Speaking of things you would never wear, I hope my husband feels that way
about this. The WSJ has an article today about the spring 2007 look for
men...suits with shorts in lieu of trousers. Retailers are nervous about it
being accepted. The photograph with the article showed the model in what
looked like a khaki suit with the pants just cut off at the knee, wearing
strappy sandals on his feet, no socks. Not the Bermuda shorts and kneesocks

stars...
Hmmm..... I just do not see that catching on. Can you just imagine lawyers
arguing in court in suits with shorts & sandals, businessmen in board rooms
in suits with shorts & sandals, politicians giving speeches in suits with
shorts & sandals. It actually brings quite an amusing picture to my mind.
Something like a cartoon!

Userb3...
I love shorts, and as soon as I'm out of the office, I'm in a pair of
shorts April through October. But shorts at the office or with a suit?
Not a chance unless I move to Bermuda. Sounds like a look that only works
with frat guys at conservative preppy campuses.

ahmward...
I doubt that it will be very popular.

look.

Don McKenzie...
Well... this fashion (using the term loosely) has been not uncommon in
Australia for some years. Shorts usually just above knee length, worn
with woolen knee socks and brogues. Worn with shirt and tie but
usually without jacket, due to the climate. Less frequent than in the
past And no, I never have!
