EMiriamD...
So, OK. So I was rummaging around in some ziploc bags of various
cosmetic items--I can't for the life of me recall why I ziploc'ed them
but anyhoo--and to my surprise and delight discovered three eye shadow
items that I will definitely be putting back into my rotation:

*Bobbi Brown cream eye shadow stick in Mulberry (probably discontinued
by now)
*Maybelline Cool Effects cream shadow in Blizzard Brown (now sadly
discontinued)
*L'Oreal Colour Fresco stick e/s in Shimmering Sand (also discontinued)

I have to keep digging...I'm sure there's more treasure buried
somewhere...

So, what have you "discovered" in your own cosmetics stash?

Clinique Moisture Surge lipstick in Whimsy. I received it over a year ago
in a gift bag at a wedding event showcasing vendors about a year ago and it
got tossed aside during my move. Found it while reorganizing my make-up
area and it turns out it is a great 'go to' shade on me for day to day, not
heavily made up look.

We must have the same coloring or the same taste in lipstick!
There's the Masai thing, and I also got Whimsy in a GWP and
use it often as a go to shade.

It certainly sounds like it! Dolce Vita (like many other lipsticks) turned
too pink on me - I tend to do better in more plummy shades. I'll throw
another one out there - I don't use this as often as my go to Whimsy and
Masai lippies, but it was what I used for my wedding: Trish McEvoy Sparkling
Plum, with some TM Sweetheart over it, as the make-up artist told me for
photos I needed something a little brighter than my usual plums.

Cream shadow sticks must be in the air. I recently discovered a Longcils
Bonza cream eye shadow pencil in a beautiful shade of bronze, given to me by
one of my favorite a.f./r.l. friends (Thanks, Stevie!). And scored a
Maybelline Cool Effects shadow pencil in Midnight. I apply one or the other
over a very thin line of black pencil liner.

I recently rediscovered Benefit Dandelion and Georgia blushes, too. I put
them back into rotation.

I need to pull out my bags and tacklebox to see what's what. I try to do
this every couple of months, but get stuck in a rut. Thanks for the
reminder. I do love it when I am switching bags or looking in a coat pocket
and find something and think "So this is where it was hidden". Its like
finding an old friend.

This has been what's happening with me lately. I found my UD Bad Girl
face case a few weeks ago and am finding various clear and tinted Prada
lipbalms in my jackets and bags. This is the lip balm I keep coming
back to, partly because I can stash them everywhere.

Missing: my Trish credit card palette w/ the neutral shades. I hope
it didn't go out with one of the bags I donated. Uh oh...
