harirecords...
Hello All,

I was not much into make-up or any type of skin care all these days.
INow, Iam 26 and iam realising that I should start taking care of my
skin now and should apply some make-up everyday .
My skin tone is dark brown..
What are the must-have make ups? I need something to start with..
Please suggest good (but not too expensive) brand names too..
Please advice..

ami kio...
It'd be easier to give advice if you gave us more details. For example:
- hair color? Black? Dyed red?
- eye color? Brown? Colored contacts?
- dark brown skin as in African? Indian? Puerto Rican?
- skin type? Oily? Dry? Prone to breakouts?

As for makeup/skincare tips, my general suggestions are:
- get plenty of sleep and drink tons of water.
- use aspirin mask (you can web-search alt.fashion for the recipe) 1-3x/wk
- always use spf 25/+ sunscreen on any exposed skin, paying special
attention to face/neck/back of hands. For your face, I recommend Neutrogena
Ultra Sheer.
- foundation is worth a little extra money. I recommend going to a dept
store or Sephora and playing with items until you find something you like.
Just b/c the saleslady pushes it doesn't mean that it's right for you.
- if you're used to a no makeup look, I suggest in the beginning sticking
with foundation, lip color, blush, and mascara. I favor the no-makeup look,
and I frequently only wear foundation and lip color. My foundation is high
end (Vincent Longo Water Canvas), but my lip color is random (e.g. Bonne
Bell Dr. Pepper lip smackers, Cargo lip gloss duo in Bora Bora).
