Sticky Face Lotion

I am sick of sticky face lotion! Now that the temps are rising here and the

i've always loved Clinique's Dramatically Different Moisturizing
Lotion. it's light, and a little goes a long way. i use it when
i'm doing facial massage.

accompanying humidity, it seems my face is always sticky with whatever
product I applied that morning. I have normal skin (with maybe a t-o-u-c-h
of oil around the nose) and have never had to use a particular product. The
'sticky' situation (HA!) bothers me most when I don't wear makeup (most of
the time). Even when I'm in the A/C most of the afternoon (77 and drier), I
still notice my neck and face sticky later in the afternoon - I guess that
means they're working.

I've been rotating between products that I currently own and they include:

OOO Beauty Fluid (Original) - I usually use this oil-free when I do use it
but this was given to me as a gift, so I'm thankful. It's not as bad as
some but still doesn't dry down to a great finish.

Skin Simple Quench Your Thirst Moisture Lotion (SPF15) - I like the
illumination this gives my face but this is one of the two worst offenders!
Just does not dry at all. Because of this, I'll probably only use this
during the two winter months we have.

Neutrogena Healthy Skin Face Lotion SPF15 - The other worst offender! I
love this but it stays greasy. I cannot stand it this time of year.

OOO Total Effects 7 Signs Serum - I'm only using this intermittently as I
have suspicions it's close in formulation to Regenerist Serum which breaks
me out grandly. Of course, the finish on this is smooth and lovely but I
won't use it exclusively.

This has been just an observation and a vent. I've been happy with one
product right now - Elizabeth Arden Matte Moisture Lotion Oil Free. This
dries down to a nice matte finish but not too dry, even when I apply makeup
over it, I can tell my skin is still moisturized. I don't know if anyone
else offers a matte lotion but I'll look around.

Not to be anti-beauty products...but with normal skin that doesn't need
makeup, why do you need a moisturizer when the weather is such that it makes
you sticky? Does it feel better without any product?
