Bat Mitzvah help needed

Hubby and I are invited to a Bat Mitzvah and I have no clue. I do know
they are a liberal temple. I can check with the Mom of the Bat
Mitzvah, but thought I would check here too

what gift is appropriate? What is appropriate to wear? Are any colors

Its a religious service, so I would go with the tie.
