Vogue has 754 pages and In Style isn't far behind. I think Andre Leon
Talley's column, always the first in Vogue, appears around page 224 and
then continues 20 pages later. It's a challenge to get through all the
advertising.

My August issue of Vogue came with an ominous warning. "Thhis is your
last issue!" Sure, they've sent me a ton of renewal notices, but I'm
not sure I want to renew. I started subscribing over ten years ago.
When I hear the word "vogue," I think of the magazine and the brand of
patterns available at the fabric store. Both items deal with fashion.
But, to me anyway, Vogue's articles have taken a downturn, either being
too political or too fluffy (ie, I don't really care about Jen
Aniston's divorce). And I still miss Marina Rust's column, "She's
Gotta Have It."

I had been a devoted subscriber to Vogue since dinosaurs ruled the
earth but I finally gave up for pretty much the same reasons. Now just
I buy the September and March issues on the newsstand. Actually, the
only fashion-related magazine I still subscribe to is Allure.

I took my copy to the fitness center and I think I was treadmilling
it for around 5 minutes before I found an article or picture of
clothing items for fall. The amount of advertising is on overload in
InStyle.

i like the lanvin ads in the new vogue.
siouxsie sioux makeup, permed hair and satin prom dresses with leather
elbow length gloves and leg-o-mutton sleeves.
it's very martha davis from the motels.
the dolce & gabbana ads however are too corny.
i think D&G show generally bad taste in their styling and their ads.
