What I *bought* today

A brand new Sephora opened in my town on the central coast of CA today!

Is it on Higuera?

I've been waiting for this day to come for like the last 8-9 years! Finally
I have access to many lines that aren't available elsewhere here (Stila,
Nars, Philosophy, Mufe, BeneFit, CSP, etc.)! I felt like a kid in a candy
store and spent about two hours shopping/browsing/playing. I've been to
over 15 other Sephoras in the US and I'm an online customer, so I'm not new
to the store at all, but it's just so cool I have one locally! The place
doesn't feel as big as other ones I've been to, but it's a good size that
doesn't feel overwhelming (it's supposedly 5,000 square feet...doesn't seem
that big though). They don't carry the more obsure lines like Tarte, POP
and Sue Devitt, but was especially disappointed and surprised they don't
carry Demeter (all the other Sephoras I've shopped at do carry it). Maybe
they will get new stuff later. They fragrance selection seems smaller than
at other Sephoras, but I'm really glad they carry my fave CSP.

Anyway I left with:
*Laura Mercier Pink Beige Glace lipgloss - a luxe everyday pink neutral
(this was on my wishlist)
*Philosophy Purity cleanser (tried it back in the olden days of AF (around
1998), and decided to give it another try)
*sample of the new Too Faced Illuminating brush foundation - very nice
looking with a soft "cashmere" finish and I'm looking forward to trying it
on my face.
*sponge rounds
*sample of DiorLight foundation - probably too sheer for me, but it feels so
elegant.

I know I'll be back there next week!
