I've got narrow shoulders and have a horrible time keeping my bra
straps from slipping down, especially on one side. Racerback bras

Actually, this means that you are wearing the wrong size bra. You need
to go down a band size:

I really do believe her statement that 85% of women are wearing the
wrong size bra. It the straps fall down, the back rides up, the
underwires poke, cups wrinkle, cups overflow, uniboob, quadboob...THE
BRA DOESN"T FIT. I hear so many woman complain about how their bras are
uncomfortable, but they aren't uncomfortable if they fit properly.

AMEN! An uncomfortable bra is as aggravating as improper fitting
shoes. It's amazing the number of women who will try on a dozen pair,
if not more, shoes but never think of trying on different sizes,
styles, and manufacturers of bras. A proper fitting bra is a pleasure
to wear and one you don't mind wearing all day long.

You really cannot feel it at all if it fits properly.

eliminate the problem, but they only work with high-necked tops. This
weekend I was in a Hanes/Bali outlet store and found a little packet of
strips meant to secure the straps. The strip hooks on each bra strap
and goes across your upper back. They're called Happy Straps, and the
packet included one black, one beige, and one white. It's a bit tricky
to get on, you have to hook the strip in place first and then wriggle
the whole bra over your head like a t-shirt; no more fastening the
hooks in front, turning the bra around and then slipping on the
shoulders. But once in place the bra straps haven't slipped down all
day. What a relief! Best $4 I ever spent. The product is on their
web site, at

i have the same problem, so i made something like that out of spare elastic in
my sewing drawer. Works really well, except like you said, a little more
complicated to put the bra on or take it off. Well worth it, though!

That sounds like contortion tortue! Have you ever tried the toupee
tape to keep your straps from slipping?

Make me happy I don't have to wear a bra! (one of the advantages to an
AA size...)

I use these, in a silicone version
not only do they not slip, but they help cushion the shoulders from the
straps. Great 2 in 1 function for bigger-chested gals.
