Mikals11...
After spending 3-1/2 hours enduring the long lines, surly clerks

Jean B....
Egad! They sure make it difficult for folks to stay legal
there, Stan.

and insane regulations at the department of motor vehicles, a lady
stopped at a toy store to pick up a gift for her son. She brought
her selection, a baseball bat, to the cash register.

"Cash or charge," the clerk asked.

"Cash," she snapped, then apologizing for her rudeness.
She explained, "I've spent the afternoon at the department
of motor vehicles and I am way past sane."

The clerk kindly asked, "Shall I gift wrap the bat,
or are you going back there?"

Lou...
The politicians in NJ scored a huge number of points when they reformed
the DMV and actually made it work quite well.

mmj1...
LOL - I have experienced those moments myself.

Jean B....

Beth...
I've gone several times at 7:30 am and waited in a long line to get in.

Mikals11...
Out here we've been updated enough to include drive up windows.... for title
changes and the like.... testing you still have to go in for but I've never
had to wait over an hour even on a busy day.... Theres even Saturday offices
open for everything but testing.... Pretty easy....

Joy...
I can actually make an appointment at my DMV, which is three or four miles
from me.

With Clark County adding 6,000 to 7,000 new residents a month for the last
14 years, our DMV has always been crowded. Sometimes you can hit it at the
right time and be out in less than an hour, but that's hard to judge. At
least for the past 3 years, you can renew on-line, but if you get a new car
or have a problem you have to go.
Here you get in one line, tell them why you are there, then you get a number
with a letter in front of it and take a chair. They flash the numbers on
screens so you can see your number.
When I go early I have my coffee and newpaper with me.
Beth

Jean B....
I have lucked out consistently when I make a point of avoiding
times I think will be crowded. We seem to have the same system.
LOL! That is how it sued to be here. Now, things have gotten
more efficient, and the workers are less surly. If you time
things right, you can get in and out pretty quickly. I was
just there getting... Rules of the Road for Leah to study....

**Lin**...
Ohmy! Is Leah ready to drive all ready? Is she taking Driver Ed in
school this coming semester?
