around 3 in the morning by a little purr machine that doesn't understand we
humans get awful tired if we don't sleep....

We've had plenty of kittens but never one that was a night owl.
Usually they get so tired playing in the daytime they sleep pretty
well on the bed at night.

But one thing - if she is going to eat salmon and no dry food you must
brush her teeth! You get cat toothpaste from your vet or pet store
and you can get a little brush that fits on your finger. You can even
get a battery run soft brush for about $5.

web-search brushing cat's teeth and you'll find a whole page on it.

Get her a cat of her own. She'll have someone to play with when she gets
the 3 am lonesome blues.

She has food.... she has water.... even a warm place to sleep.... tons of
toys.... You'd think that would be good enough for the little monster....

I check her food.... theres plenty of it from her midnight feeding.... Its
just not good enough anymore for her little highness.... shes wants
fresh.... Now I can understand that but what gets me is she lays in the warm
spot from where I was sleeping in bed till I come back to pick her up and
take her to the new food.... She doesn't want to get her paws cold....

An hour later shes back and this time its to thank me.... Nothing like a
cold wet nose all over your face till she calms down again.... the purring
in my ear wakes both me and Raynbeau.... If I try to lay still and play
like I'm asleep she walks over the top of me and drops her full body weight
on my neck and starts to kneel my scalp over my ears....

Its like catholic school all over again.... anytime the nuns caught me
sleeping they'd go straight for my ears....

An hour after that one its time to be combed.... Oh yeah.... that ones
between 5 and 6 in the morning and she wont give up till one of us picks her
up and carrys her to the bathroom to be combed.... Oh she has beautiful
shiny hair.... so soft.... and one of these nights I'm gonna rip it off her
butt!!

Anyway.... Your never going to believe this.... She wont eat chicken, turkey
or beef.... Salmon.... thats about it.... give her ocean whitefish and she
lets it dry out on her plate.... Dry food?? Never.... We've tried dozens of
different brands and all she does is turn her nose up.... Dry food is a toy
for her to bat around the kitchen floor.... Oh.... she will eat packaged
ham.... but not much....

She watches everything we eat.... Its like Kitty TV for her.... she sits in
front of you and watches everything you do.... She doesn't want anything to
do with eating with you or anything you've got.... she just wants to make
you feed like shes watching you.... I try everything with her.... she will
eat a little bit of cottage cheese and the ends of any yellow cheese we
eat....

OK.... my question is this.... anyone want a kitten?? just for one
night.... thats all I need.... One nights sleep.... Even Raynbeaus
daughter who lives a few places away wont take her now.... She needs her
sleep too....

What'd I do wrong?? If she isn't sleeping its play time or the time to make
sure your not sleeping.... She can jump about 4 feet in the air now....
which brings everything in our house within reach of her exploring.... She
jumps from chairs to my shoulders without any fear of being dropped....

Anyone visiting here has to be careful walking.... she tries to trip anyone
foolish enough to walk past anything she can hide under.... and she hunts
anyone and anything around.... We don't wear shoes in the house and she
loves bare feet and socks....

Oh I love her.... shes still just a kitten.... I can't wait till shes older
and has a mind of her own.... I'll be out of mine by then.... ;-)
