Poor Pluto, Left Out Again!

Betsy In VA...
One thing I enjoy at this time of the year is watching the "Year in
Review" clips on tv. I'm always surprised... every year I realize I've
forgotten a few major events just months after they occur.

This year, I was surprised that the media seems to have forgotten about
poor Pluto. IMO, that was a major story! :-)

Can you imagine poor Pluto's humiliation? First, he's the first planet
EVER to be demoted from planet-hood. Then, he doesn't even rate a
mention on the year end review! I guess the media no longer thinks he
has any "star" quality...

You're all just ducking the issue.
Norma
Ah, but he's a plucky little plan... er, guy. He kept right on orbiting
the sun anyway. ;-)

Joy...
You're absolutely right, Betsy! Poor Pluto! I guess even planets (or
non-planets ) have to learn that life isn't fair.

BTW, I don't think I've welcomed you yet. I'm glad you decided to delurk.
I hope it was something I said on the Toastmasters group that encouraged you
to do so.

Betsy In VA...
Aha! You are the same Joy (I wasn't sure, Joy's a fairly common name,
after all). Yes, your comments were encouraging, even though I wasn't
sure if we were talking about the same board. (Joy and I also belong to
the Toastmaster Group. You can always tell on the TM Group when a
non-Toastmaster has joined in...and usually it's just to stir up
trouble, so it's not appreciated. That's why I've been afraid to join
other groups for which I'm "not officially a member" like the 50+
group. But, I like this group, and I'm not a trouble maker, so "oy with
the lurking" as my friends would say.)

Norma...
The pendulum will swing. :)
Remember when eggs and chocolate were o.k. for you, then not good for
you, now good again? So Pluto was a planet, is not a planet....will
be a planet again, I betcha. LOL
