Goromoff...
After reading and responding to Val's post "Aging", I got to thinking and
remembering.

One of the things that flitted into mind was a truism from when I was
painting. An old tradesman had once told me that when painting a customer's
house, he considered the most important bit of work to be the toilet door and
walls.

When asked why this should be, he explained : when people are sat upon the
throne, sometimes for a long time, they have little else to do apart from
examining your work minutely for faults!

Val Adams...
Do you know, I believe the gentleman had a point..at least, that's the
cleanest wood work in THIS house!

I can remember whenever my mother was expecting company, we'd have to clean
the bathroom thoroughly! She said it was the only room that people could
lock themselves into and snoop!!

Joy...
LOL! There could be some truth to this. Several years ago, I had the
interior of my house painted. The bathroom was not done very well. I found
it a minor annoyance, but then if I spend time in the loo, I am usually
reading, rather than looking at the door and walls. However, my daughter
was here for a visit not too long after the painting was done. I went on
vacation shortly after that, and while I was gone, she and her husband came
over and repainted the room.

It was a good thing they did, too, because I had accidentally shut one of my
cats in my bedroom closet. He had been in there for about 36 hours when my
kids came over, and when the door was opened, he made a beeline for the cat
flap. He hadn't done a thing in there the whole time. I hate to think
about my poor cat, and what the closet would have been like if they hadn't
come over, because I was gone a week.

Jean B....
What a fortuitous visit--and what a good cat!
