Paco...
Is scratch resistance an automatic thing they put on glasses these days?
I ask because I ordered a pair and forgot to ask for scratch resistance.

**Dalin**...
I had to pay extra for it, but that was two years ago. But you know
what? I still have some scratches on my lenses. Fortunately they are
small and don't affect my vision.

Jean B....
Come to think of it, my glasses that have lots of tiny
scratches, which do impede my vision, had that coating.... I
hope it has improved.

**Dalin**...
I had some kind of coating put on too that was supposed to stop the
glare when someone looked at you or in a photo and every time I try
and clean them big smears are left on the lenses.

Jean B....
Was that recent? The first time I got that coating, I thought
it was a real waste of money. They may have improved it since
then.

Jean B....
Uh-oh. I guess I just think these glasses are better because
they are new. :-(

**Dalin**...

dae...

Don and his cut and run Devil

**Dalin**...
DON! I'm eating breakfast!!! Well, I was!

Dalin
It was two years ago. It has the desired effect but I always feel
like my glasses are dirty because of the smearing. It doesn't
interfer with my vision though.

Chakolate...
Actually Featherlite lenses come with scratch resistant coating. If you
refuse to pay for it, you still get the coating, but you don't have the
option of taking them back if the coating doesn't protect them.

(I got this info from Consumer Reports a while back.)

Chakolate...
If they're high index (made specially to be thin) they are automatically
given scratch-reduction coating, so you shouldn't be charged extra for
it. If the optician didn't push buying it, you can be pretty sure it
was included.
