david...
seeing JD's post about that 1938 book reminded me that I had meant to make
a post the other day... the fair dalin and i have been enjoying JD's mac
and cheese recipe for nigh on 5 and a half years... oh, dalin has
augmented it here and there, as i'm sure JD would prefer, but the essence
is still JD... we had that delightful meal just this week... and i still
recall how special it was... and is... dalin has the printed copy
prominently in her recipe file... dated february 2001... nice memories it
brings to me... :)

Val Adams...
I believe it is up on our Recipe page too, no?

JD Cooper...
heh! I am surprised y'all still use it.

**Dalin**...
Well I tell you, for years I made Kraft Mac and cheese. Your recipe
was the first homemade mac and cheese I ever made. :-) Now we don't
want anything else!

JD Cooper...

david...
uh-oh... are you trying to find a polite way to say that you fed it to your
family reunion and now they're all gone? or maybe you fed it to the
livestock and now the pasture is empty? :)
heh. Yes, I know. It really is worth the effort. I just crave home made
good stuff like that.

Alan Sleight...
I well remember a special meal with JD at Rudi's BBQ not far from San
Antonio, after the meal we crossed the road to where JD's trusty truck
was parked and had a tailboard dessert consisting of the most delicious
drink I have ever tasted i.e Promised Land Chocolate Milk. On that trip
we also met Dink another poster on this group. There is still a website
for
a few more weeks as I am going to use the space for an article on
vintage
lorries.
