No party here! Watching it on TV,as usual! Taking the tree down tomorrow.

We're still resting after the Christmas company. We'll go to bed at the
same time, and likely turn out the lights before midnight.

I'm getting used to my new place. After thirty-something years in my house,
it was hard to leave the neighbors and the area. My new home is in the
suburbs, and its distance from my old stomping grounds has made me less than
thrilled. The one-level condo, however, is perfect for me. It has two
bedrooms, two bathrooms, a sunroom, big living room/dining room area,
kitchen, and a study. And, it has a two-car garage. I love that everything
is brand new.
Last night after the Time Warp party, I came back and had champagne with two
of my new neighbors. So far, I really like everyone out here.
I guess, if I had to make a move, this was a good one.

I can see where it would be hard to leave old neighbors and the
stomping grounds after 30+ years because we've lived here about 34
years. But your condo sounds delightful! Especially a nice sunroom
and a study besides the regulation rooms. It really sounds perfect!
And it sounds like you already have found some great neighbors and are
partying with them. :-)

2.5 ft. tall, fiber optic changing color lights. Dog proof, cat
proof. :-)

I'm not sure there is such a thing as a cat-proof tree. And if Shadow is
half the dog I think she is, well, let's just say it might not be dog-
proof, either. ;-)

No. Real and plantable. Well, that could change if I see a
REALLY cute artificial one, but I doubt it. (I do have one
all year round--it's some sort of Asian pine. If I had known
they would only be here one year, I might have bought two of
them!)

We had a six foot one, then reduced it to five feet, then bought a
three feet fat one, then this one. You have to do it in degrees and
you get used to it. :-)

I got a 5-foot one this year--just right to throw in the hatch.

I wish I had instituted such a smart plan with Leah. :-(

Babysitting for Tristan and Sophie. It'll probably be pretty boring,
though, just putting them to bed and watching tv or reading afterward.

Sounds like my house, Janie. There will be just Sally and myself. One of my
granddaughters should be calling shortly to say she has arrived at Cedar
City, Utah, where she will be celebrating the year's end with friends and a
day of snowing boarding tomorrow at Brian's Head. The other one has a an
early and a later party to go to. Everyone at the late party is spending the
night there to avoid any after midnight driving.

Leah will have chocolate fondue. (I haven't indulged since I
OD'd on it a few years ago. You can imagine how crummy I felt
if I say I have never had it since then.) I may nibble on
some Indian veggie thangs. We usually play board games
together, but she, being 16 now, may have other ideas.
