T'was the night before Christmas
and there was nary a peep
from keyboard or mouse.
Everyone was asleep.
The net had been busy
both far and near
of emails and posts
wishing all of good cheer
all people were silent
in the dark of the night
when suddenly appeared
from the sky, a bright light
santa had come
using broadband this year
as a digital download
so no child need fear
bypassing the chimney
not needing his sled
he crept concurrently
up to everyone's bed
and as we all slept
all cozy in the dark
The gift he placed
was a vision in our heart
A vision to guide us
a vision to share
a vision to love
a vision to care
a vision for peace
new hope for each child
a prayer for no war
and no one defiled
the vision's not new
it's always been there
all Santa had done
was remind us to care
christmas is not gifts
or a big fancy meal
christmas is sharing
with others how we feel
as Santa now uploads
on his digital broadband
he leaves each of us
to offer our hand
offer our love
offer our time
share with each other
life can be sublime
Merry Christmas to All,
Santa sings on his way
The gift that he left us
Can brighten each day.
Merry Christmas...
