Why I Would Never be a Public School Teacher Today
The Teachers are afraid of the Principal
The Principal is afraid of the Superintendent
The Superintendent is afraid of the School Board
The School Board is afraid of the parents
The parents are afraid of their kids
The kids aren't afraid of anybody

In the main I think it's true. What do you think Stan, you were a
teacher.

OK, here goes. I know this will bring forth cries of religious or
political post, but I truly believe that in this day and age, all schools in
the U.S. should be private.

My sister is a high school teacher. A few days ago she was called into the
principal's office. Once she was inside, with the door closed, the
principal said, "I'm required to call you in here and tell you when there is
a complaint about you. The mother of one of your students called to
complain that her daughter said you looked at her." It turns out that the
girl hadn't turned in her work on time, and had said that my sister hadn't
told her when it was due, even though most of the other students had turned
their work in on the due date. Apparently my sister had glared at her.
The principal then said, "Okay, now I've told you," and they laughed
together.

I'm glad they just laughed, but it's no wonder kids are so out
of control when I teacher can't even LOOK at a kid nowadays
without parents complaining.
