Arch (TX)...
Early this morning I found this Cicada which had just climbed out of its
shell. Posted two photos of it in my galleries. If you would like to
take a look, go here:

david...
looks great, arch... but i cheated... I sneaked over and looked at those
great photos of mickey.... even at 3 yrs old, she was clearly 'mickey'....
and those photos of antique roses... beautiful, beautiful... and those
photos at Mission San Juan... marvelous. you have some terrif photos on
your website... a real feast for the eyes.... :)

Arch (TX)...
Thanks David, much appreciated.

Val Adams...
spent all day waiting for this to appear on the 50+ blog..
reading & following directions not really my strong point....

That being said, what an amazingly beautiful creature!

Arch (TX)...
Thanks Bette

Jean B....
I didn't see Arch's post, so thanks for reposting that, Bette.
Boy, those pics are spectacular! I'm glad you can do that
post-surgery!

Norma...
Wow! The eyes of you and your camera are working exceedingly well!
Norma

Arch (TX)...
Thanks Norma, the eyes seem pretty good now but the body is certainly
not. I now get a bit of vertigo at various times. Was OK this morning so
I went grocery shopping at shortly after seven. Got home about 8:30. Was
OK 'til then. Intended to go to church at 1 PM but the darn vertigo
started again and I was leery of driving. It has returned quite often
today. I am going to call our family physician tomorrow morning and get
and appointment to see her. I am sure she will send me to more specialists.

Chakolate...
Are you on a blood-pressure-lowering medicine? That can make you
lightheaded.

dae...
Norma,

You beat me to it. I was going to say the same thing. All systems are go
with Arch it sure looks like.

Arch (TX)...
Thankd Norma and Don I wish I was OK. Getting bouts of vertigo quite
often recently. Thought I had seen the last of that when I went through
pilot training. LOL

Arch (TX)...
Thanks Joy, when I see a cute little critter I just can't resist! LOL

Chakolate...
Whoa, that is very, very cool.

Chakolate...

Arch (TX)...
Thank you Chak
Hey, Arch, does the cicada eat the shell once it's out?

Arch (TX)...
Nope, as soon as their new shell hardens they fly off to screech for the
girls and leave the old shell for the souvenir hunters. LOL
