Stan...
Thanks everyone for all the congratulations on our 48th. Dalin and david
your card was Awesome!

Not wishing to bore anyone, may I relate the events of 48th anniversary
evening.

Cast of characters:

Me- Stan, a very handsome man who "oooozes" charm, very
worldly, cosmopolitan, whose baby blue eyes are fixed on one "Butterkup" the
entire evening, her very presence has aroused feelings he thought were lost,
but now he's found these tickly sensations are very close to the surface of
of his..."man person".

Butterkup- Sue, an earthy woman whose desires were set a fire the first
time she saw Stan, exposing his
animal magnetism in the "Frisco Drive-In" "God! his loins!" she was heard to
say.

Amanda- waitress

Setting

Brasstown Manor- Exclusive golf and country club resort. Dining room
with breathtaking views of N.Ga. mountains. Menus don't list prices.

Amanda-Our "special" tonight is Key West crab and shrimp on light pesto
pasta with clam sauce.

Stan- You look familiar, are you from Florida?

A- Yes, Orlando.

Stan- DisneyWorld? Cinderella!

A- Yes...that was me.

Stan-(singing) "When you wish upon a star..."

BK- WE'll Have the Special!

A great seafood dinner, including a flaming crepe with 1 candle(48 would
be obscene) followed by wine and margaritas followed by Stan maxing out his
Visa, followed by drinks on the veranda watching the sun fall slowly in the
billowing comforter of the N. Ga Mts.

Stan- What were the high points of these last 48?

BK- I don't know. It all has gone so fast. What about you?

Stan- It's been your sweet love, it's been your nearness, it's been
...you ... just you ...one day...48 years...it's the same. It's the smiles.
It's the sharing...It's the wedding ring we bought at the flea market...It's
when we look at each other and not say anything, but just know we love each
other...

We stopped at a pull-off on the mountain and looked below at the lights
in the valley. Two "old people" kissed.

david...
for sharing that delightful dinner...

uh, I hate to digress, but isn't it illegal for two old folks to kiss in

Sue...
Not really, david, when you consider the fact that Stan had us at
Brasstown Manor (which is an old folks home)
and not Brasstown Valley Resort.
Oh, well.
sue

public?

Stan:)(Thanks guys)

Jean B....

Anniversary to you (pl). You deserve every bit of happiness
you get!
