Jim Everman...
The bride's decorated tennies.

You can also order from Land's End on line.

Oooops. I meant to say "online", which is even better.
There's also the fact that she is apparently on the east coast and gets up
and goes to bed early. I was getting posts telling me to drop everything
right now and start getting things ready for the next morning. I usually
got those posts about 5 or 6 PM, before I'd even had dinner. I can't
remember how I became unsubscribed, but I never bothered to re-subscribe. I
keep thinking I ought to, but I just add it to the long list of things I
ought to do, and may actually consider doing someday. ;-)

I do shine up the faucet in my kitchen sink whenever I use it, though, and
that relates directly to her posts about "shining your sink". There is no
way my old porcelain sink is going to shine, but I can and do shine the

I'm sure mine would too. ;-)

No, they don't. Besides, I'm lazy. I prefer shoes I can just slip on and
off. Actually, I usually wear bedroom slippers (scuffs) around the house,
because I prefer no shoes.

So much alike it's scary. ;-)

I wear sandals outside, and just wear socks inside. :-)

faucets.
They haven't shown up yet. I can't wait to see them. I
wonder whether they're as great as the ones that Leah
decorated. You (and she) apparently missed a contest of such
things....

So, am I understanding that YOU decorated the shoes?

BTW, I like that casual wedding. If I ever,... Oh, I don't
even want to think about such things....

Jim Everman...

**Dalin**...
Oh rats! The web isn't working, it's been on and off for a couple of
weeks now. Someone send me a picture of them please?

arneeeee417...
Congratulations, again! When you first told me, I told you and Norma
that you are both very special people to have found one another. We
have been good friends for several years now and I have always wished
the best for you as you have me. Also, please tell Norma how happy I am
about her new job. It is so nice that she can stop in to see you while
you are having chemo. Better yet, the fact that she isn't working all
of those long hours that she had with her other job.

I can't find the shoes, Jim! Please e-mail the pictures to me. I can't
wait to see the wedding pictures.

FYI...I have known about Norma and Jim for awhile now. I am sure that
it is a big surprise to most of you. Norma is a wonderful lady.

Love to you both all the best wishes,

Arlin :-)

Jean B....

Joy...
Yup. That's my favorite way to shop.
I don't think I retained one good habit from Flylady. And I
certainly don't put on my shoes.... :-)
Where? I didn't see them on the blog. Of course I saw them for real, a few
weeks ago. ;-)

Congratulations and all best wishes to both of you.
For what it is worth, the shoes have now appeared. This was taken at the
end of the afternoon, they looked a bit nicer earlier. I didn't decorate
them, only offered advice and assistanse as required.

Jim Everman...
I helped - read that, "offered advice and color matching service".

arneeeee417...
Whoa!!!!! Jim, you added more than "offered advice and color matching

Jim Everman...
I have this feling they didn't get posted. I've made two tries, I'll
wait a bit and try againg.

Shoeless Jim

Norma...
I finally saw them. For shoes like that I might even consider getting
married again. :)
Norma
I believe that Gwen and Beth had a hand in the decorating.

Jim Everman...
Gwen & Beth DID the decorating. I was only an adviser. ;-)

Joy...
I'm with you there. The only time I put on my shoes is when I'm going out.
I get it from my mother. She didn't wear slippers, as I do. She just went
around the house without shoes. One day she started out to go to the store,
and it wasn't until she stepped on the cold concrete porch that she notice
she didn't have shoes on.

That reminds me of something that happened to me. A few years ago, I had an
appointment with my gynecologist. As the nurse weighed me, she said, "I
like your slippers." I looked down and saw that I was wearing the
hard-soled, lambskin slippers I wear in the wintertime. I was embarrassed,
but I don't think I would be now.

Chakolate...
Isn't it nice how much less embarrassed we are as we get older? When I'm
out with Tristan and he does something very autistic (what we call
'stimming') people stare, but I don't care a bit. Sometimes I stim right
along with him, to keep him company. He likes that. :-)

Jean B....
Hehe. Leah doesn't stim, but she gets a lot of looks for a
variety of reasons. It is amusing. So many folks just can't
accept anything the least bit different. They totally forget
their manners, which is also amusing.

Jean B....
LOL! It is sometimes tempting to try to find shoes that would
be as comfortable as slipper. I hate shoes.
Still not on the blog, alas.
LOL! So who did the decorating? Your daughters?

Jim Everman...
Yes. My primary assignment was shoe style/size and dress color.

Gwen had decorated he own shoes for her wedding and most people
thought it was a grand idea, including Norma. Gwen already had the glue,
glitter, small pearls, etc. Cathe bought a pair or shoes and we all
worked on them. Norma was surprised and pleased.

Jean B....
What a cool idea! Instead of spending gobs of money on some
uncomfortable thangs, get some comfy shoes and decorate them.
It seems more meaningful too!

service." You are the Groom in that picture. Without you, there would
not have been a wedding for the "shoes." (Big Grin)

You and Norma make a beautiful couple. I can see a lot of love on both
of your faces. I am so happy for you and the new Mrs. Everman. I really
enjoyed our phone conversation and hearing all about the wedding. I can
hear the pride in your voice when you you talk about Norma. It is truly
a match made in heaven.

Congratulations, again, Mr. and Mrs. Everman,

Arlin :-)
