They are working on making a material which would make
one (or things) invisible when worn. It is because of
the new nanotechnology. Very interesting. Here's the

What immediately comes to mind: Harry Potter!
While the thought is intriguing, I think first, the military
would try to take possession of the technology. Then gthe
criminal element would get it. Can you imagine? I don't want to.

Yes, I thought of Harry's invisibility cloak too. I agree with you. And
really, outside of the military, what legitimate use for such a thing could
there possibly be?

Yup. Thieves and voyeurs would love it. And spies, unless that is

It probably would be. I think some things might be better

"You're so excited about the fact that you can do it that you haven't
considered whether or not you should." Those aren't the exact words, but
that was the idea.

Those words do, indeed, sound applicable.

I can't imagine! I can imagine all sorts of illegitimate uses
though.

Now the big question...once you perfect and produce the stuff how do you
see it in order to make clothing or whatever to wear to shield you?

There was a short video demonstration on the web earlier this year - it
was pretty impressive. Not exactly invisible, but darn hard to see.

oh we've had the technology for years! At least as far as I'm concerned!
You'd be surprised at the number of things that disappear from my sight! Or
maybe not lol
