My sister had sone really wild palpitations a couple of weeks ago, so she
went to her doctor, who told her to see a cardiologist for a nuclear stress
test. She had that test last week. She lives in Valdez, Alaska, and had to
go to Anchorage to see the cardiologist. Her husband went with her, but he
came back after the test, and she stayed a couple of days for a work-related
conference. She got home Friday evening and found a message from the
cardiologist, wanting her to come back and make an appointment to come in
this week.
She called today, and they want her to come in Wednesday for a heart
catheritization. At least that's what my mother said. She's pretty sharp
for 94, but she sometimes gets things mixed up. I'm thinking it's probably
an angiogram or angioplasty. She's supposed to avoid stress. I don't know
how anybody does that. My sister is a high school teacher, and my BIL is a
vet's assistant. He has to go with her, so they both have to take off work
and make another $700 trip. They have to go tomorrow evening, in order to
get there in time for her early appointment on Wednesday.
Naturally, there's a lot of stress going around.

Gee, that seems even harder than it normally would be. I hope
everything goes well, Joy!

Rats. mark is right; the downside of loving your ng friends too much is,
every day there is someone to worry about. Sorry, Joy, hope all works out
well for her.

Thank you, Val. What a sweet thing to say.
I realized a long time ago that everytime you allow yourself to love, you
are setting yourself up to be hurt. I also learned that if you don't allow
yourself to love, you aren't living - just existing.

My thoughts are with them, Joy. Seems like there is always a drawback

Too true; feelings are what he would call Exclusive-OR gates, they're either
on or off!
Hope sis is getting rest in the midst of this. Docs telling you to avoid
stress after they've laid out such a course of action for you always seems
to me a little strange!

to living in a beautiful area. Expensive costs for medical is one of
them. How is your mother feeling these days?

Thank you, Norma.
My mother is feeling pretty good. She had several nights in a row where she
had trouble sleeping, but that's over, and she's been catching up with lots
of naps.
