an amazing dentist

The dentist who will be doing my implants..did the first thing in
preparation : Pulled a tooth!
I quizzed him thoroughly as to if it was absolutly necessary. He
explained why, etc.So on agreement he gave me two shots to numb
me..waited about 20 minutes... extracted the cap on the tooth, never
did figure just when he actually pulled the tooth.. he said, "well..
that's done..." What," I asked... "the bone re-structering is done..."
I asked where the tooth was, and he said, "long gone." He attached the
cap( tooth) to my partial, said ,"all done..be careful of that area
,brushing. See you in a week! " Of course I walked out of the office
with a big smile.. no one could ever tell a tooth had been pulled. My
friend who went with me in case I was not up to driving was in shock !
All in less than an hour. I went out to lunch, and have felt fine ever
since. I was told to leave everything intact.. so far no pain ! amazed
me. ;>) ;>) ;>) Bette , able to smile.

Well, we are in kind-of the same place, healingwise then. I
hope you are doing fine today, Bette. I am thinking I have
colitis from the antibiotic. I may have to call the hmo
tomorrow. I love the way these things arise when it is the
weekend. Oh well. It could be worse....

I may end up getting an implant or two. I was more convinced
of that before I saw the brochure. The pics were kind-of
yucky. Now I figure I'll have to get pretty fed up before I
do that....

Was that today, Bette? I had such a procedure today too. BUT
you mean I shoulda saved that crown? That never occurred to
me, and it was also never pointed out to me. :-(

I would love to have a couple of implants on the side where I have
very few lowers. Very expensive though, is it not?
