Happy St. Stephen's Day!!

**Lin**...
I kind of like St. Stephen's Day. All the hustle, bustle is over and
we can sit back and relax! I was relaxing last night watching a
movie on a damp, rainy night and I guess I sat too long. I stood up
and wham! Felt like someone had kicked me in the lower left part of
my back.

Well today I am hobbling around and it doesn't bother me much unless I
turn the wrong way or bend the wrong way or move my foot or arm the
wrong way and them bam! I get kicked again. Comes right out of the
blue. So I guess I'll sit in the chair with the heating pad and watch
David clean house.

I hope everyone's relatives arrived safely.

Joy...
I'm sorry about your back pain Lin! I hope it goes away soon.

Jean B....
Uh-oh. I hope that disappears soon, Dalin.

**Lin**...
I hope so. I can't go shopping! All those Christmas bargains today
and I can't walk straight. :-(

mmj1...
I sympathize with you, Lin. I just spent most of the past week unable to

Jean B....
Well, console yourself by thinking about all the crowds you
are avoiding. But still, better to decide that for some other
reason.

Norma...
David hit your back while you were sleeping, trying to tell you that
you've done enough shopping. :)

I was gonna go out and look around but woke up with a sore throat.
It's starting just like the cold I had the first week in November. My
son in NYC didn't get here till Sunday. He told his doctor he had had
a cough and cold since November and the doc said he was about the 15th
person to tell him that. I almost never catch cold. To have one a
month is unusual, to say the least. I didn't catch my son's. It came
on too soon. He just left to go home and the house is way too quiet
again.
Norma

Jean B....
I'd say the incubation period is just about perfect, Norma.
If it doesn't just go away, I sure hope it's not one of those
long-lasting ones!

**Lin**...
That was a short visit, but at least he was home for Christmas. :-)
I've had colds that do drag on for a couple of months. Not often, but
sometimes. With the fever your son had it seems like it was more of a
virus, a long lasting one.

Ok Norma, make sure you gargle with salt water. I think that helps a
sore throat more than anything else.

I know about quiet houses. You know that empty nest syndrome they
talk about? I'm not sure I ever got over it. :-( I suppose that's
why we got Shadow. The house isn't quite any more. :-)

Hugs,
Lin

bend over. Have no idea when or what I did to my back. But with a little
babying of my movements it has passed. Thus I wish the same for you but milk
it as long as you can or unless until the entire house is clean. :-)

Arch (TX)...
Oh no! I am so sorry to hear that Lin, but that disease is really bad.
It seems to be associated with "AGE". A terrible mixture for sure! I
have had it for quite some time myself.

**Lin**...
I think I'll go shoot myself while my teeth are still good!

What movie did you watch?

**Lin**...

mmj1...

**Lin**...
LOL! My darling David doesn't really know how to clean. But he gives
it the old college try. And that's good enough for me. :-)

I'm glad your back is better. Maybe it got damp there? Boy that
really is bad on bones and muscles. Sometimes you don't have to do
anything I'm finding out.

The difference between us mj is that you never said a word to the ng
and I complained. I have to watch that!

Chakolate...
Not at all! If you hadn't mentioned it, I wouldn't have to opportunity
to tell you something I learned about heat and muscle pain. My
acupuncturist friend (who hates it when I call him 'acupuncturer', so I
do that fairly often) said that for best results, apply the heating pad
for fifteen minutes, then take it away for fifteen, and repeat in a
cycle.

It always works much better for me when I do this cycling thing.

Lin
Hmmm do teeth affect your gun skills???
It was a 2003 movie on tv "Radio" True story and heartwarming. :-)

The night before we watched the cutest DVD movie "Ice Age - The
Meltdown. I can't believe what they can do with graphics now. It had
the cutest, funniest animals in it, we will give it to Evan. But we
wanted to see it first.

Thanks Joy. :-) I have the feeling the back pain will go when the

Joy...
I haven't seen that one.

Joy...
Oh, yes! The "Ice Age" movies are a lot of fun.

rain stops but looks like we are in for rain for the next several days
during the day and snow showers when it cools down at night. Hey, it
gets me out of housework!

Lin

Joy...
Well, as long as there's an upside.
