woman to lead Episcopal church

I just read in NY Times that a woman is the new leader of the Episcopal Church
in the US. Personally, I find that encouraging, as women are traditionally
very active in their religious beliefs and to recognize this should open more

two - that women should be silent in church and should not be allowed to
teach?

You may 'personally' find that encouraging..David !....But how does it
'line' up with the 'Word of God' ? That's the final thing that really
matters !

Can you 'Justify' it from the scriptures ?...And if so ...You tell me !

We could get into what is the word of God, I guess. WHEN were
the various parts of the Bible written, and by whom?

I also find it encouraging,along with her stance on other
issue. But then I'm an atheist, so my views don't matter....
