Stan,

david does it every year. Seems like Spring can't be far away now.

Stan...
david, after viewing your picture on your cycle, It brought back flashes of
a movie I saw in 1954 starring Marlon Brando. Were you part of that "wild
bunch" that terrorized small towns in Arkansas? :)
Stan :)

Stan...
Great narrative david. You took me with you.

Stan :)

david...
hey, stan, you're always welcome... :-)) glad you enjoyed that first
ride. hearing the engine start after 6 months of quietness is always a
joy... 'cause you never know if it's going to happen... :)

Thanks david.

david...
that was one of my favorite movies, stan... "The Wild One"... i think i
saw it in 1954 also... lee marvin (i think) played the bad guy with a
bunch of harley guys... it was a plot that i could understand (which is a
short list, by the way...) i've seen posters of brando on a harley,
supposedly from the movie, but in reality he rode a gorgeous brit
triumph... complete with mufflers... :) a rather gentle piece of
machinery... we happened to see the movie a few years ago and i had
forgotten how gentle and simple the story line was... but i would watch
it again in a heartbeat... i read somewhere that it was based on a
somewhat fabricated takeover of Hollis, California, back in 1947... at
least that's my memory as i sit here, trying to type and entertain a very
demanding puppy at the same time...

who, me? terrorize small towns? well, i *DID* try, but when i rode up on
my baby blue 5 hp cushman motor scooter people didn't draw back in fear
as intended... and my crew cut hair, freckle face, t-shirt, jeans and
sneakers didn't convey the image either... and i was so used to saying
"sir" and "ma'am", that i failed miserably at being the bad guy. and i
had to be in church on sunday morning and sunday evening and wednesday
evening and thursday evening and sometimes saturday evening (and there
was always a sunday school lesson to study on saturday night anyway) and
sometimes every night of the week if a revival was going on, so my time
for being bad was limited mostly to mornings and early afternoons, once i
finished the various family chores i had to do.... it was tough, trying
to be bad... but i kept on trying...

hmmm... mebbe i oughta' call the motorcycle hospital and change my
request from new mufflers to straight pipes... ... and grow a beard
and let my hair grow long again and stop wasting soap in showers and get

david...
hey, a ponytail looks good on a biker... :) and you'd be welcome at the
dinosaur barbeque hangout if you were with a ponyhaired biker... :) hey,
it could improve your social status... (and wendy might think you looked
even better than she already does... )

a good book of cuss wurds... hey, mebbe i kin do this... LOL

Don and his Devil
