Norma...
Egads, what a prolific bunch you are. It's going to take me a while to
get through most of what I missed.

I spent two weeks in California which, to me, seems like too much time
but my daughter and SIL wanted me there for my birthday, Thanksgiving
and the baby's 1st birthday. It was really enjoyable but I am glad to
be home.

The baby has been standing since they were all here in September and
while I was there she took her first steps alone. Actually, her first
two steps. She spent a lot of time letting go of whatever she was
using for a prop, estimating distance, and taking two steps before she
dropped to her knees to scoot along. And I spent a lot of time
watching her. LOL The last day I was there she took four(!) steps all
alone, without any coaxing. She saw a toy she wanted and went for it.

The flight home was a red eye and I'm not sure I'll do that again. I
took it so I wouldn't have to go up and down multiple times and
possibly change planes but I was wiped out for a day or two. Oh well,
live and learn. :)
Norma

**Lin**...
Oh Norma, I'm glad you didn't miss her first steps. :-) That's
always so special.

Lonestar...
I'm glad to see ya back.
Robert

mmj1...
I've never taken a 'red eye'. Some people who fly across country often
prefer it so wondering why it was tougher than other flights.

Sounds like your trip was fun but, let's face it, nothing like your own bed.

Norma...
It left Oakland at roughly 2 a.m. eastern time and arrived in Boston a
little over 5 hours later. The plane was full and they ran out of
pilows. :( Normally, I sleep most of the way, in either direction.
I just couldn't seem to drop off this time.
Norma

mmj1...
I probably would have trouble sleeping all night. Though some Dramamine and
a drink usually works. :-)

Jean B....
Oh, wow! That sounds brutal. Did you then drive home?
Makes me wish I had an extra bedroom. :-(

Jean B....

Norma...
I had scheduled airport service to and from Logan. I don't much like
driving in Boston and I wouldn't like to pay a two week parking fee.
Thanks for the kind thought, though.
Norma

Jean B....
Note I didn't say I'd drive to Logan--I never drive into
Boston. Well, I did once by mistake, a LONG time ago.

Norma...
LOL I haven't driven into Boston since...since...ummm

Hey, Mick, when were you and Wendy here?

I think that's the last time I drove to Logan or maybe I made the trip
once or twice after that but I haven't, personally, driven into the
city in quite a while.
Norma

Jean B....
I have to say, again, that once Leah's dad and I wanted to
demonstrate how bad the road signs were in Boston. Well, we
did a very good job of it, and ended up totally lost. Since
he was driving, it was fun....
Nice you were there to enjoy that walking milestone, Norma.
