Jean B....
I HOPE so. That poor girl sounds like she must have been
pretty traumatized before you got her, and I'd hate to see her
having to adjust once again. But then you can only stand so
much....
How can I be sure this "Rescue Place" is on the up and up? Their web page is
But how can I be sure they are what they say they are? They have only a PO
Box and no phone number.....They will call me. I'm starting to get bad vibes
about this. When I questioned them, they said they do not put where they are
nor no phone number(Because they could be found but not if unlisted) because
people would be dropping dogs off at their doorstep with no history of that
dog..
I don't know what to do. She has regressed to the point she will only be by
Al and hides under the bed all day. She comes out to eat but only if Al is
sitting by her bowl. But it's the housetraining. She did pretty good but had
totally regressed and, even though I clean my rug almost everyday,we may have
to get another one we really can afford.
It's the secretiveness that bothers me. Once they take her,I will have no
idea where she is or if they are doing what they say. I'm at my wits end. I
am exhausted from letting her out every 2 hours then she STILL comes in and
poops and pees. She is also freaking at the sight of her crate. I'm not
getting much rest.
Suggesstions?

Jean B....
I was wondering that after someone asked whether she'd seen a
vet. Accidents with cats frequently are signs of medical
problems.
Trust your instincts. Don't let them have her.

Have you tried putting her in a crate? Take one that's big enough for
her to move around in (I guess I'm assuming a smallish dog, here) and put
in food and water and newspaper and cover the whole thing. Maybe when
she feels safe, she'll start bonding with you again.

IOW, take a giant step backward and start over.

Jean B....
Post this where Elle can see it, Janie. She seems to have
some good ideas about dogs....

**Dalin**...
The place looks on the up and up to me. I was reading all the stories
of success in foster homes and looking at all the cute little dogs
ready for adoption. it makes sense that people would just be
dropping dogs off if they knew where they were.

The lady does have an e-mail address where you might be able to
enquire about Bonnie.

Jean B....
Are the stories verifiable?
