Yippeee! I found a flight with seats available and better pricing now.
The only thing that can keep me from her wedding will be my health. I
booked a flight for 8/23 so that I have three days to rest before the
wedding on the 26th. It will give me more alone time with my daughter
too. I will return later the night after the wedding. I will be home
three days before I start chemo.

A very happy mother,

Arlin :-)

Sue...
I am so happy for you, Arlin. I missed my son's wedding. Something I
have regreted ever since. :-(

Joy...
I'm sorry to hear that, Sue. I know it must make you very sad.

Joy...
I'm so glad that worked out for you, Arlin! Judging by my experience with
mothers, your health will hold up until after the wedding. However, after
that, watch out! Seriously, take care and enjoy your time with your
daughter and the wedding.

I agree with you, Joy, about mothers and your experience. I will make
it through the wedding and then fly home that evening. I will be able
to crash for a few days before I start chemo.

This Friday, I will be having surgery to have the port placed in my
chest and a line into the artery so I can receive my chemo and other
meds through it. They can also draw blood from it. This will be out
patient and shouldn't keep me down. Probably a little sore for a few
days but that will be a piece of cake after all the other surgeries.
;-)

I feel like playing my Pointer's Sisters' CD titled "I'm So Excited!"

Arlin ;-)

Norma...
Isn't it great when schedules work out right? :)
Enjoy yourself and pass on my good wishes to the bride.

I'm a happy friend for you. It will give you lots to hang on to when you are
undergoing the chemo.

**Dalin**...
That's wonderful that things worked out for you Arlin. :-) Just make
sure you do rest during those three days!

Jean B....
Yay! I'm so glad you could work that out, Arlin!
