Sue...
Stan and I were gone all afternoon and came back to find the power company
cutting all our trees in the front yard......in half! Now...ya know how I
feel about my trees. I am really sick about this. They said they will grow
right back and they do it ever two years because they are burning the
electric wires. Or something!!!!
Photo to follow.
Sue....wondering what else THEY haven't told us. Now, I am going to throw

Chakolate...
How are they supposed to grow back when they've cut off all the foliage?

up!

Georgia Laws...
Dear Ms. Butterkup:

We regret to inform you that your spouse, a man known as "one night Stan",
has an appendage that violates local laws and we will be removing said
appendage on the morrow at 8 AM. We regret this need to control population
expansion of the beautiful North Georgia wilderness.

Chakolate...
That's okay. It's not like that appendage offers shade to other
appendages, right?

Jean B....
Oooooooooooooo. This is bad!!!!!

Jean B....
OMG! My blood pressure rose just reading your post, and the
pic is even worse. I was envisioning the way they do it here,
which is bad enough. Those look topped, and that is not good
for the trees (not that you would have figgered that out in
one nanosecond yourself). If you're temporarily done throwing
up, may I give you a hug? You know I love trees and would
be absolutely sick and furious too. <<<<>>>>

Norma...
I just looked at the blog. The trees may grow back but in the
meantime, look up your property (in the county ofices?) and see if the
electric company has right -of-way. We got into a hassle with them
when we built our first house and they wanted to put a pole in our
front yard. Seems they never had legal right of way to put anything on
our property and they finally put the pole in the back yard, giving us
power from a line that already, illegally, ran on poles on the back of
our lot.

**Dalin**...
If they are within 10 ft. or so of the highway they are probably not
your trees. :-( What kind of trees are they? Cut down trees seem
to follow you Sue! Don't throw up, mix up a batch of Margaritas
instead! They do that in our neighborhood too, but they cut down
only the branches that are in the way of the wires, not the whole
darned tree. Sounds like your trees grow faster.

Buy an air conditioner! :-)

Joy...
I'm so sorry, Sue! I know that must have hit hard, especially after your
experiences in Florida. I have seen trees trimmed worse than that grow
back. However, it looks like a case of overkill to me, and they certainly
should have warned you. I think you'd be within your rights to complain to
the power company about the way this was handled.
