Okay,

I've got your attention so I need to ask a question. With all of the
photo's on the blog, both from times past or present does anyone think they
take a good picture? I ask because it seems strange to look at a photo of
yourself and really believe you look like that (good or bad). You look in
the mirror everyday but you never see your profile, nor do you see the back
of your head. It is a straight on view. But a photo can be tilted or
angled any way. That is why I ask the question. Does it make sense?

I accepted the fact a long time ago that I look like my
photographs...and sometimes not that good. LOL Actually, I have a
mirror with an expandable arm mounted on the side wall so I can see my
hair from various angles in the main mirror. Next time, I'll look at
the face. :)

I should have read your post first. I have one of those mirrors too
and I never use the magnified side!

Norma, you have the cutest, most impish smile of anyone I've ever seen
and it lights up your whole face! Your smile is so infectious every
time I see a picture of you, now or then, I want to grab you and give
you a big hug!

I've seen maybe half a dozen photos of me that I thought looked good, out of
probably hundreds during my lifetime. I have found, however, that the
longer it has been since the picture was taken, the better I like it.

Thank you for the kind words!
I use the magnifying side when I floss. I made the mistake once at
looking at parts of the face other than teeth. Don't do it. I had
nightmares for a week. There were wrinkles there deeper than the Grand
Canyon. Guffaw!!

The magnifyng side is good for eye makeup, which I seldom wear. But
when I do, that's what I use it for. I just don't look at the crow's
feet!

If you "did" your hair every morning you would see your profile and
the back of your head. I have a fold out mirror attached to the
wall in the bathroom so I can see all sides of my hair and fix it
hands free.

I don't take good pictures. Or I really look that bad. I think
it has to do with bone structure and the way the light hits your face
in a still photo.

I am not very photogenic either, Dalin... I either look mad or
somewhat retarded, believe it or not!

I think we all have a mental image of what we think we should look like.
Since we seldom do look like that, we're usually unhappy with our photos. I
have had a few I thought were good, including, believe it or not, my last
driver's license photo. I hated to turn in that license, because I don't
like the photo on my current one nearly as much.
