Aaargh. Netscape has changed its homepage to reflect people's
votes on news (or perhaps "news") stories. My immediate
reaction was to switch my homepage to CNN's international
edition. I also sent them feedback saying I'd rather be able
to design a Netscape homepage myself and, in the course of
that, I could decide whether I wanted such an element on it,
and, if so, how much space I wanted to devote to it and where
I wanted it to be. That IS doable. Is it Yahoo that lets (or
is that past tense?) you do that?

hi, jean,
yes, yahoo lets you do that and their yahoo tool bar is really nice, also!!
and, although there are folks who hate microsoft, i have found that the
msn.com site is excellent for customization. for example, i have a sports
section on my site, but it only shows info *IF* there is a car race or NFL
football. the rest of the year it's dormant. yahoo is very very good, but
my.msn.com gets my vote... both, of course, require registration (free) to
do that...

Hmmm. I'll have to take a look at msn. I don't want Yahoo as
my home page for some reason.... I wonder whether Netscape
will respond to my comments? Probably not.

hmmm.. jean, you're sending signals that your homepage must be provided by
some godly presence... :) Yahoo provides a nice page... so does MSN...
I encourage you to assess them on what they offer and not on some "dark"
thoughts you have... :-))
