Goromoff...
who is taking part in the little quiz. This is what makes it fun, and I hope
you all enjoy it as much as I do.

Yes, I do enjoy it, even though it does show me each day how little I know!

Goromoff...
just to say that I have made a halfway decent start to today's quiz!

Good luck everyone!

Goromoff the very lucky!!!!

Yoj...
I'm enjoying it!

I missed a couple of days - Saturday, I was judging speech contestants in
the (California) State Academic Decathlon. I had about an hour at home to
rest, then I drove 70 miles to play Trivial Pursuit. I never turned on the
computer. Yesterday I ate lunch after church, and had a nap in my recliner.
About the time I would have been heading to my computer, my mother called to
tell me she had fallen two more times. The first time, she passed out, and
I guess she twisted her leg when she fell. The second time, the injured leg
gave out under her.

About 15 minutes after she called, I was stricken by an intestinal bug. I
never turned on the computer yesterday either. In fact, it's early evening
on Monday, and I'm just now getting to it.

My mother feels better today. She saw the doctor, who couldn't find a
reason for her first fall, so she put a heart monitor on her. I feel better
today, too, but I haven't felt good enough to eat anything.

Jean B....
Well, that sounds like a busy time, Joy. It also sounds like
a time of increased worrying about your mom! :-(

Yoj...
Yes, it is. She's doing better today, again.

Jean B....
I hope you're feeling better too!

Yoj...
injured

Yoj...
I was, until I tried eating some toast. It went down all right, but it's
still trying to decide whether or not to stay down. :-(

Maybe this evening I'll try some chicken broth.

Jean B....
Uh-oh. I hope by now the situation has improved--and that
toast stayed down. :-(

Yoj...
Yes, the situation has improved. The toast stayed down, and so did the
broth I had this morning and the toast I had at noon.

Jean B....

Jim Everman...
Sounds good! Sometimes life's accomplishments are but small steps back
toward normalcy.. I've been nausea free for about a week now.

Good luck, Joy.

Yoj...
Thanks, Jim. It sounds as though we're both making progress. I hope you

Sue...
Way to go, Jim.
sue

Jim Everman...
Thanks, Sue.
But it seems silly to get cheers just for feeling normal. ;-))

Poke Stan and have him get the MM results out. I want to see if I won
or lost that game with myself (or both, maybe).

Jean B....
Hurrah for you, Jim!!!!!

Sue...
I think he already did that? Or not?
sue

Jim Everman...
Yup.. he has now.

nospam...
Glad to hear that also, Jim :o)

Sue...
What a guy!
sue

stay nausea free.

Jim Everman...
One step forward, one back.. I feel fine today, but my computer is
acting odd. Joy, did you get the e-mail I just sent? The one about my
e-mail acting strange? I hope it was a simple error on my part.

Better yet, are you getting this message?

I'm hoping I have my problem solved.
Good! Now, no relapses!!!

Yoj...
So far, so good.

Jean B....
Let's keep it that way. How is your mom doing?

Yoj...

Thanks, Jeanette. I'll keep that in mind for future reference. Yesterday I
managed to get, and keep down, chicken broth, toast and chicken soup. I'm
definitely getting better.
