My oldest granddaughter left for college this morning.
The youngest g-child will be 10 months old in 4 days. And even better,
that youngest will be here with her sister, brother, mom and dad on
Saturday. Yippee!

You are just a very young grandmother Norma! I have several
granddaughters in their 30's, one is the mother of three boys, my
great-grandsons, I have two grandsons, one is 25, has been in the
Navy for 6 years, now assigned to Naval Recruiting Service near
Dallas, Tx., his younger brother, just turned 20 and is in his
last year in college. Dang, time sure passes quickly when you get
older! LOL Oh, two of my daughters are already in their 50's.

But Arch, you and your child bride were married very young. I was
almost 25 before I tied the knot and 29 when the oldest son was born.
He is still single and this is the oldest child of my #2 kid.

That's an exciting day when they go off to college. Have fun with your
family! But I guess you don't need me to tell you that.

I'm having fun (?) already. :) The oldest drove her sisters around
when needed. So...Mom was working, Dad was back from the college trip
but he plays golf on Tuesday afternoons so I drove G-daughter #2 to the
high school at 3:45 pm for soccer practice and G-daughter #3 to the
high school at 4:30 for cross country. G-D #2 will be getting her
driving license sometime soon but unless she is assigned a parking
space at school I will still be doing some transporting. And you know
what? That's what I moved here for ...to be of some use.
