Yes, I think ours were metal-tipped too. While not extremely
sharp, they were sure sharper than what one can get now--foam,
Joy...

Actually, the bow Daddy made was relatively small. I think it might have
been three feet high, or maybe a little more.

Our family played Jarts and no one ever got hurt. In fact, I think son
#2 still has them somewhere in his house.
He was also given the Thingmaker. He never got burned and one day we
found him jingling pockets full of change that he had from selling his
creations to his school friends. LOL
The kids also had woodburning sets and toys with small pieces. I
wonder how they ever managed to grow up?? (snort)

Egad re some. BUT for others, parents need to use some common
sense. They need to have some idea of what their kids are apt
to do. They need to check the toys out. They may need to
supervise their use.

I don't know how any of us ever survived childhood. My brother had a
woodburning set, too.
