Our second camping trip. This time I hope we are better prepared. I
have a fridge full of real food and a deck of cards and bath towels! All of which we forgot our first time. Joy...
We'll leave here around 11 a.m. just going to a campground on the other side of the lake maybe an hour from here. We'll come back on Thurs. It's in the woods and very pretty. Pull through sites, David will love that. There is a nice camp store, a pavillion where they show movies at night, and I'm really looking forward to it. We bought a little tabletop charcoal grill so David can cook out some hamburgers, (if we remember the charcoal) and two nice nylon camp chairs with a drink holder. If we wanted to we could even bring our microwave and our small 13" tv, but we don't want. It IS supposed to rain - 50% chance - on Tues.-Thurs. Next project in the spring will be getting a screened in covered porch that is made for our camper. I hope. Maybe just a tarp before that to hang over a clothesline between two trees. Anyway, I am looking forward to being away four days in the woods, roughing it (as we know roughing it, JD would laugh) and NO COMPUTERS! Time to read, play games with each other, enjoy a walk around the private lake (if it doesn't rain) time to look at the stars through the trees, maybe even buy some wood for a fire at night and toast a marshmallow.
