Joy...

Jean B....
Is the seat as interesting as the rest of it? If so, please
do. If not, maybe no need to. :-)
I have posted some photos of The Chair on the blog. I posted three, but

Chakolate...
Oh, Joy, what a beautiful chair! No wonder you were so happy to get it.
And Nanki-Poo has excellent taste. ;-)

only two showed up.

Arch (TX)...
A beautiful chair, but what a way to spoil those two pets. LOL OK, I
have spoiled mine also. Just can't resist them.

Val Adams...
heh! Jerry has added so much character to our deck railing, she is almost
all the way thru a redwood 2x4! I hope Joy's master and mistress treat that

david...
thanks. i've never seen such a unique and lovely bit of furniture.
certainly a treasure... :)

Goromoff...
'tis a beautiful piece of craftsmanship, Joy!

Joy...
It is lovely, isn't it? I'd forgotten just how nice it is.

mmj1...
The chair is beautiful!!!!!!!!! Oh, so are the kitties.

arneeeee417...
I just saw the pictures of the chair with your cats. It is beautiful. I
have never seen a chair like this before.

Arlin :-)

Val Adams...
WOW! What a beautiful piece of flame mahogany! No wonder the ladies vie
for the throne!

Joy...

Goromoff...
you must now teach the pussies that it is not a scratching post and that
claws is verboten!

Joy...
I don't think that will be a problem. They much prefer upholstered
furniture for their scratching. ;-) Anyway, one rocker has already been
chewed by a puppy.
I hope Nanki-Poo doesn't read this. He would be mortified.

Val Adams...
I most humbly beg the gentleman's pardon! While cats do not bother with any
covering other than their glorious fur, unlike lesser mortals..sometimes
clothes are a help!

It is a lovely chair, isn't it?

**Dalin**...
That is one of the prettiest and most unusual rockers I have ever seen
Joy. Made prettier by the addition of your two beauties. :-)

Val Adams...
Yes, indeed, both in material and design. Most unusual!

lovely chair better!

Jean B....
Welllllllllllll, there's character--and then there's total
destruction! I wasn't thinking of the latter!

Val Adams...
Tee hee! I expect Joy's kitties will have a harder time, tho, mahogany is
much denser than redwood. We are just amazed at what one cat can do by just
sharpening her claws. She has selected one of the deck 2x2s also, but is
only about half an inch in to that.

Jean B....

Joy...
Well, I think it's interesting.

Jean B....
Then let's see it! :-)
How long has the destruction taken?

Val Adams...
We put the new deck up in 1998, I think. At least that's when the bills
are receipted. I will try to take a picture later this week, Spike is
running CSI:Miami marathon today, dont plan on doing much else!

Jean B....

Joy...
Well, okay, if you're going to twist my arm. ;-)
Okay, I THINK I can wait. :-)

Jean B....
Also, even though we sometimes don't like to see the
scratches, over time, it becomes part of the character of the
piece.

Jean B....
Gee, that's an unusual and handsome chair! Your little
critters have good taste!
