This place is weird!

Ten minutes ago the sun was breaking thru clouds, blue sky to the
North-Northwest...

It's not all that unusual. I have a twin sister, separated at birth, who
is 15 years my junior, born in a different state, and Black.

NOW.....Snow blowing down the road from the North resembling white
foamy surf! Hills not visible thru thick clouds..Peavine Mt. very
pretty all dressed in white a few moments ago , totally invisible now.
Windy with snow falling and twirling in all directions. And I was
going to go to the post office ! Not now. Bette

Yesterday it was 79 F here. This morning's paper said today's high would be
only 60 F. I looked out at the clear blue sky, with the sun shining
brightly and said, "No way is it going to be 19 degrees cooler today!" The
clouds started rolling in about 2 PM and now it's quite chilly and looks as
though it could rain any minute. That's pretty weird too. We've had rain
three or four times already this season. Usually we don't get any rain to
speak of until February.

It rained buckets here today, and everyone I talked to was grousing about
it, until I reminded them what January precipitation in Chicago usually
looks like. Normal temps here today would have meant a good foot or two
of snow.

Sounds like a cold front blowing in. :-) I actually miss having
some snow here. Sorry you missed getting to the post office but
better to be safe and stay in. And coming from CA I don't think you
are used to driving in snow, are you?

Make a nice cup of cocoa, and put a throw over you, sit by the window
and enjoy it. :-)
