I thought broken = fractured. I guess it's because I have had
little experience with such things....

************************************************
There are different kinds of fractures. A green stick fracture is more like
a crack. Then there's the one where the splintered end of the bone goes
through the skin - a really nasty one. I can't remember what it's called,
but I think it's a two-word term with fracture as one of the words.

I thought the one where the bone stuck through the skin was a
green-something fracture. I guess those are open or compound
fractures....
Yoj...

Compound fracture is the term I was trying to remember.
I know a green-stick fracture is more like a crack, because that's what I
had when I broke my arm falling off a teeter-totter at age 6. Actually, it
was my little brother's fault.

Well, you would know then. I wonder why I thought the
green-whatever fracture was when it protruded from one's skin?
Maybe I "learned" that from a comic or something. I have
had that erroneous thought since I was a kid.

My arm isn't hurting!

Fantastic! I suggest you don't rush into anything strenuous like lifting
weights though.

Jean B....

Great! But that was a long time that it hurt....

Hurray! Now just don't let that con you into doing too much with it. Keep
on treating it gently for a while.

Yippee Janie, but just don't tell "them". All the housework will be
dumped on you.
