Joy...
I have my photos from both jumps in my graphics file. For several months
I've used one of the photos from my first jump as wallpaper. I decided to
change it to a photo from my second jump. The photo showed in the little
window where you choose your wallpaper, but when I selected it, I got a
plain blue background on my desktop instead of the photo. I tried to copy
the photo and paste it into my word processing program, which I've done many
times with other photos. However, I just get a small blank rectangle
instead of a photo.

There is one difference between the two batches of photos. Although both
are shown as jpeg files, the old ones have a suffix of "jpg", while it's
capitalized (JPG) for the new ones.

Does anybody know why this makes a difference and what, if anything, I can

joy,
i'm not much on color and graphics, but my suggestion is to let Windows do
all the work...
1. rightclick the JPG file and select 'open with... Internet Explorer'
2. when IE opens the JPG, rightclick again and select 'save as background'
or 'save as wallpaper. i 'think' IE actually converts to a BMP format, but
i'm not sure of that... :)

I think that will do it. otherwise, it 'sounds like' you copied the jpg
photo into the windows directory... just my thoughts...

When I did step 2, I get a message saying, "unspecified error". :-(

It may have something to do with the fact that this batch of photos seem to
be labeled as "read only" files. I was able to upload them to the album,
but that seems to be all.

do about it?

rename it using the minor letters and see what happens? WHY, I dont
know..but empirically have found that it sometimes DOES make a difference!
