I'm wrapping Crhistmas gifts. Most of the shopping is done. My
daughter with a 9 yr old, a 3 yr old and a 1 yr old has asked if I
could release any toys I bought them from their theft-proof containers
before mailing them The kids want to play with their new toys without
waiting for them to be untied, untaped and/or cut loose with wire
cutters!
This was no big chore until Crystal decided to help by stealing the
heavy plastic ties. I finally had to threaten her with dog food in her
stocking if she didn't leave the trash bag alone. :)

Sue, great pictures. They brought a big smile to my face as I looked at
them. I have one cat up here bothering me because it's almost time for
dinner and another one downstairs speaking out loudly that it is time for
dinner. Guess I'm going to have stop playing (in their minds) with the
computer and tend to my real duty - serving dinner.

Oh this was so cute. I never did finish following all the links.
Loved the two cats and the dog together at Christmas. :-)

Some of those things, and things adults buy too, are almost impossible
to get out of those sealed plastic packages without slicing a finger.
And you definitely break fingernails! But I wonder, how else can you
prevent shoplifting? That adds to the price we pay for everything.
Well Norma, trash bags are more fun than toys. :-) Shadow has toys
all over the house that I am always tripping over, but when I drop
something, she thinks she has found the mother lode of treasures and
makes off with it before I hardly miss it. I dropped the plastic top
to my seam ripper the other day and while I was shining a light under
the refrigerator where I thought it bounced I found her in the bedroom
chewing it to bits.

Make her behave by threatening her with cat food in her stocking. LOL
The plastic I can manage to cut with my sharp pointed scissors. It's
the long, thick, plastic, metal colored twist ties that are twisted
several times and then rolled down on themselves. Furthermore, they
end up with crinkles in them when untwisted and it's a job to remove
them from things like car axels without breaking the car. That's when
I resort to metal cutters....or dikes, if you prefer. :)

I never heard that term before for metal cutters. I seem to be
able to untwist those ties ok and remove them, but I've gotten plenty
of cuts in trying to cut the plastic. I have some scissors that can
cut through tin cans and bones, but they have very short cutting
edges. So when I try and cut down through after cutting off the top
is when I get cut.
