Janie...
My 85 year old neighbor is moving tomorrow, downstate near Merritt Island.
She is tearful but knows it's the best for her. She will be in assisted
living near 2 of her daughters and says the place is bright and cheery.
I've known her over 25 years. She is a divorcee,has 4 grown daughters,she
raised by herself,7 grandkids and one great grandchildren
The whole neighborhood is very sad tonight. Somehow,Marsha was our bonding
force. She loved our kids when they were growing up and now many them are
grown, married with kids of their own.
I walked over to give her a drawing so she would always remember us. I had
been dreading saying good-bye to her because I knew would end up in tears.
We did! lol
She loved the drawing and I sat and had iced tea together and talked with
her daughter.
Tammy her daughter said,"Ok,we have something for you,Janie. Close your
eyes". When I opened them, they were holding open a quilt over 100 years old.
It just took my breath away. I said,"Oh,Marsha, surely one of your daughters
wants this. It's an heirloom". She said it was a family decision. Her
daughter told me I had made their lives easy but checking on their Mom,
watching the dog, taking her to her dr. appts.
I'll try to get a pic of it on the blog soon. It's very fragile so I have to
be careful.
I am just thrilled and walked home crying. lol
Janie

Joy...
What a lovely gift! Obviously you are as special to her as she is to you.

**Dalin**...
What a beautiful gift Janie. I believe they knew you would treasure
it.
