Janie...
You get in there and get that gyn exam! I hate them too but my cousin went 7
years and had cancer and didn't know it. By the time she had the gyn
report,it was too later.
So,I grit my teeth and go every year. Nest year,I have to go to a new dr and
I dread it. I sure loved my gyn that's retiring.
GET IN THERE,DALIN! Don't make me come up and drag you!
Janie

Dalin- you all right? I sure hope so.

Jean B....
I just got a new gyn, whom I really like! :-) Also a new
dentist, whom I love.... It makes a lot of difference.

I have ALWAYS been terrified of dentists --- until I found mine- he is

Stinkweed...
I'm so glad to hear your still doing well Arch, that is just wonderful to
hear.

I haven't noticed any bone weakness but I guess that could be a
possibility. The doc did send me in for a bone density check because the
female hormones make me more susceptible to loss of density, same as a
post-menopausal female. I don't know the results of my latest PSA test
nor the bone density test but will find out next week when I have an
appointment to see the doc again and get another injection of some
hormone that will last another four months. The injection is in behind
and I joked with my kids and told them that it not only did not hurt but
a got a free butt massage too. LOL Yes, I know they try to spread it
out in the muscle but I just can't resist a little laughter now and then.

terrific.
I dread the day when he ever decides to retire------ in fact, I told
him so --- and did he laugh!!!!!!!!!! (but -- he knew what a coward I
am with Dentists!!!!! )

Actually I have just started having a few very minor hot flashes, the
longest one has lasted probably about a minute or less. And it was very
light at that. No problem. It is not even near as severe as you have
when they inject the dye for a CT and even that is is not really bad at
all. So, guess I have been lucky again. From what I have read and been
told by the doctor it would seem that hot flashes are most felt side
effects from the hormone treatment and there is also a possibility of
breast enlargement but the tiny hot flashes (one a day at most) are the
only side effect I have noticed. I am quite weak but that started long
before I got on this chemo therapy. I probably need to get some sort of
physical training and try to beef my muscles back up a bit.

I'm glad that so far it has worked pretty well for you. Hot flashes
are no fun, but they can be mild. The side effects might be less than
radiation treatment even, and as long as they are holding the cancer
in check I'm sure you are very pleased. Do you do much walking? I
guess it might be too hot down there now. That and maybe a membership
in a swim club are supposed to be great exercise for seniors. I
should take my own advice. LoL!

Arch (TX)...
There are always other types of tests they can run, CT scans with dye
for example.

I've never had that done. I don't think gyn doctors check for ovarian
cancer unless you have some sort of symptoms.
Well my old doc said I didn't need to. I had a hysterectomy and
what's left to examine?
