david...
Our dear friends, stan and sue, decided to jointly share a cabin in the
mountains with our brit friends, wendy and mick. after the usual squabbling
on who gets the big bedroom, who sleeps on the floor mattress, and all that

Stan...
I just finished scrubbing the floor and cleaning the outhouse, so I'm
sitting here thinking about these questions and problems concerning Pluto
and puzzlements and for some reason I thought of Walt Disney characters.
Coupla questions:

1.Who was the infamous, amputee that was always pursuing "fair Wendy" ?

2. Pluto was a dog. He couldn't talk. Goofy was a dog. He could talk. ?

3. Doc, Happy,Grumpy,Sleepy, Sneezy, Bashful... OK... but, today,
wouldn't calling someone "Dopey" cost an elementary school teacher her job?

Stan :)(wondering out loud)

stuff, they finally agreed to share the chores. each person agreed to do
TWO chores -- one would be outside the cabin and one inside...

david...
yes, just defending himself where he's innocent....LOLOL

david...
methinks he does... he's usually not the guilty party (IMO)...

Your challenge, should you accept it, is to figure out who did what... :)

1. stan washes the kitchen floor or the outside sidewalk, but not both
2. wendy either aligns rocks along driveway or cleans the outhouse

david...
uh... this looks like a post I should pretend that I didn't see... :)

3. the person who washes the dishes doesn't also clean the sidewalk
4. sue either vacuums the floor or washes the dishes
5. the person who prepares dinner also digs for worms
6. the persons who vacuum the floor and align rocks along driveway
have different first initials
7. a guy washes the kitchen floor

Chakolate...
You have to clean outhouses? I never knew that. And is it considered an

david...
ahem.. I should explain to someone who lives in Chicago...... this
isn't much of a chore, really... just checking to see how many pages are
left from the LL Bean Catalog (since Sears doesn't send one anymore...) and
whether it's time to request the new JC Penney fall catalog for reserve...

Chakolate...
Aha! And just where do you check that??? *Inside* the outhouse!
Therefore, it *is* an inside job.

Do I get a prize for solving the puzzle?

Lou...
Since catalogs are all printed on shiny paper their use as TP has
declined drastically.

BTW What is the prize for solving the puzzle? Must be a real prize -
not from a Nigerian.

inside or outside job? Details, david, I need details.

enjoy... :)

Michael Fanner...
Fat chance.

In spite of my usual objections to trying to solve these things, I took
pity on David since no-one else was playing. And besides, I (little Micky
Fanner) was central to the solving of it. - how could I resist?

#5 'The person who prepares dinner also digs worms'. Has to be me since
I'm not afforded any other options. Except perhaps washing my hands after

Chakolate...

david...
you're stalling... again...

david...
outside... outside... ... we do NOT allow outhouses in the house... :)

Chakolate...
But doesn't the outhouse have an inside? If you're cleaning inside the
outhouse, is that an outside job or an inside one?

For that matter, all the jobs were within the atmospheric envelope of
planet Earth, so I believe they may all be considered inside jobs (so to
speak).

david! Was this a trick puzzle?????
I'll figure that out, by Hook or by crook, just you wait.

Chakolate...
Gawrsh, no, he only pretended to.

Chakolate...
Six? You name six dwarfs? For shame. And why is it dwarfs instead of
dwarves?

Dr. Schmart...
Yes, Ms. Ruger, I know it's troubling to see such text, but I do have
hope for your husband. I prescribe that he watch only Warner Brothers
cartoons for 6 months. Seeing Daffy Duck, Bugs Bunny, and Elmer Fudd
should help him realize that Disney cartoons were never intended to
reflect real life. This may also improve his interest in books from the
local library as Bugs Bunny was always popular...

Yes, he may sometimes scream during the night about the animation of
Steamboat Willie and wonder why Donald Duck's speech never improved over
time, but these are temporary issues and will soon pass. I'm sure he'll
be a proper citizen in due time and will appreciate that 'mickey mouse'
is an adjective and not a noun... :)

Respectfully,

worm digging and before dinner preparing. Wonder if the two things are
connected. Sounds really nice.

Apart from me. Stan washed the floor and cleaned the outhouse. Time to
hire a maid, Stan.

Wendy aligned the rocks and washed the dishes. Whilst Sue vacuumed the
floor and cleaned the sidewalk.

I may be wrong but if I am, there are two solutions to the puzzle

david...
You are, of course, quite CORRECT, matey!!!! good show!! not one error.
and here I was beginning to think that my puzzlements were not
appreciated.... :) I should have anticipated that, with your intellect,
the puzzlement was as good as solved... but I may just let them pass
into history... you may well become reknown as the man who solved the
last puzzlement - quite an honor, I would say... ...

Uh, err... umm... I had this award, ya' see, but, uh... the dog ate it.
you would have really liked it... :)
