Mountains say "no" ! Still Winter !
mamouth has 51 feet of snow.. 4 Ft. from this last storm of a couple of days. The Valley floor is soaking up the the rain thirstily. A few Dafs have poked up their heads thru the thawing soil. According to their callendar it's "time" But-------------Spring or no Spring? Trees have started producing leaf buds. However, cold winds soon undress their limbs. Shuddering with the chill, Stately they stand. Spring or no Spring? Old Man Weather's reporter is saying the confusion will continue until Easter ! A cute little bunny seen on my lawn the other evening munching away at bits of clover, fortifying for it's busy schedule ahead---- Spring or no Spring? Each evening 2 small birds, after brushing their bills on the bare tree limbs hunker down in the rafters of my porch, Hopefully protected from the rain and occasional snow flakes. I'm sure they are wondering...... Spring or no Spring? And I ,enjoying the variety,cant help but wonder... Spring or no Spring? Bette Sue...
