Joy...
When I recently posted about an offer I had for a phone that would work
through my DSL connection, somebody mentioned Vonage. I've had an offer
from them that seems pretty good. They are a member of the Better Business
Bureau, and although they have had a lot of complaints, they have resolved,
or "made every reasonable attempt to resolve" all of them.

I had a call from them this morning in response to an Internet query I made.
I asked for a week to think it over. I'd appreciate input from anyone who
uses, or has used this service.

Paco..,...
I have used it. I didn't like their customer service. They are very
hard to get on the phone and they prefer you do your business with
them online.

david...
i haven't used them, joy, but they've been on my mind for you since your
first post. they 'look' like they're legit and reasonably priced. but i
have no experience. I suggest you go to the web-search site and type in
experience with vonage
I did and received many hits... mostly positive. but you should read for
yourself... :)
always remember: web-search is your friend... :))

Joy...
thanks, david. I'll do that.

Val Adams...
We have been using it for several months, no problems so far. The
attraction for us was being able to call long distance at low rates.

Joy...
Thanks, Val. With all my calls to Alaska, it sounds very attractive. The
woman who called said that I could have unlimited calls anywhere in the
U.S., Canada and selected countries in Europe for a flat rate of $24.95 a
month.

Val Adams...
I think that's about what we pay. We got it when Les was having some
problems in Colorado, so she and I could talk more frequently, and have
since found it extremely useful in other cases where a letter just would not
serve.
I prefer to do business on line, so we ought to get along fine. ;-)
