remember the AFP chat room? :-))

yes, remember the chat room we had back in july, 2004? well, while
inventorying some websites today, i noticed that this site is still alive
and well... :-)) however, it is on the (long) list of "david's
follies".... seemed like a good idea at the time... :-)) it was popular
briefly, with almost 1,600 logins from july to oct that year... but
chatting isn't a desire of the NG... that was my oversight... :-)) some
nice memories, though, of a few group chats we had... i remember arlin
signing in as me and creating lots of laughs... but, it still works, so if
you ever want to have a dialogue with someone, just schedule a time and
login... ...

I do remember the chat room and one from the forties group as well. It's
difficult to set up a time for a group chat because of all the time zones so

I have the same problem. My son, in the same town but a couple miles
away, has all the goodies. I'm stuck with dailup. For at least 3
years I've listened to, "We hope to have the necessary equipment in
your area soon".

works fine once you're in... but i'm sure there would have been no one
